How to Maintain a Roll Forming Machine
1. Daily Maintenance
Clean dust, iron scraps and dirt on rollers, guide rails and cutting blades every day.
Check all running parts for abnormal noise, vibration or oil leakage.
Inspect the chain and belt tension, keep them neither too loose nor too tight.
Check the alignment of feeding rollers to avoid material deviation.
2. Lubrication Maintenance
Add lubricating oil to bearings, roller shafts, transmission chains and gearboxes regularly.
Use suitable industrial gear oil and grease; replace old oil on schedule.
Keep sliding parts well-lubricated to reduce wear and avoid rust.
3. Roller & Mold Maintenance
Protect forming rollers from collision and deformation.
Keep roller surface clean and smooth; avoid hard scratches on the metal surface.
If the rollers are worn slightly, polish them timely; replace severely worn parts.
4. Hydraulic System Maintenance
Check hydraulic oil level and oil quality frequently.
Inspect hydraulic pipes, valves and seals for leakage.
Clean the hydraulic oil filter regularly to ensure stable cutting performance.
5. Electrical & Control System
Clean dust in the electric cabinet regularly.
Check wires, connectors and emergency stop switches for safety.
Keep PLC and control panel dry and away from moisture.
6. Regular Overall Inspection
Tighten all bolts and foundation screws periodically.
Calibrate machine level and forming precision every few months.
Stop the machine fully when not in use for a long time, coat rollers with anti-rust oil, and cover the whole machine.
