What working environment requirements for installing roll forming equipment?

Reasonable installation environment directly affects running stability, forming precision and service life of roll forming machine, with strict requirements on workshop ground, space, temperature, humidity and on-site power supply.

First of all, the factory floor must be solid concrete ground with flatness error below 3mm per meter. Soft ground or uneven cement floor will lead to frame deformation and equipment vibration after long-time heavy-load operation, further causing profile size deviation. The placement area needs enough reserved space: around 1.5–2m clearance on both sides of the whole production line for roller replacement, daily maintenance and raw material coil loading. Reserve extra space at feed inlet and finished product outlet for coil stacking and finished profile storage.

For ambient conditions, the suitable workshop temperature ranges from -10℃ to 45℃. Excessively low temperature increases hydraulic oil viscosity and affects hydraulic shear responsiveness; ultra-high ambient heat accelerates aging of electric components and sealing parts. Humidity should be controlled below 85% to avoid moisture erosion on PLC cabinet, motors and bearings, preventing short circuit and rust damage of precision rollers.

Keep the production area away from severe corrosive gas, heavy dust and splashing cutting waste. Massive dust entering gearbox and roller bearings will aggravate component wear. Stable industrial power supply with standard rated voltage is essential; unstable voltage easily triggers frequency converter faults and inconsistent line speed. Besides, the ground near hydraulic station shall be equipped with anti-oil-leak tray for regular waste oil collection.
