Strict safety specifications must be followed during roll forming machine installation to prevent mechanical injury, electric leakage and hydraulic accidents for operators and maintenance personnel.
For mechanical safety, all rotating parts including forming rollers, transmission chains, gears and sprockets need closed protective covers or safety guards before trial run. Safety baffle plates are installed at the feeding inlet to avoid accidental hand contact between strip and rollers. Emergency stop buttons with obvious red signs should be set on machine body, operation cabinet and discharging end; the whole line can cut off power immediately once abnormal operation occurs.
Electrical installation complies with industrial safety standards. The complete control cabinet, motors and frequency converters require reliable grounding connection to prevent electric shock from leakage. All wiring is fixed and protected by wire casing to avoid cable aging, abrasion or liquid soaking near hydraulic station. Independent leakage protection switch is equipped for the whole production line.
On hydraulic and pneumatic parts, pressure pipelines are fixed firmly without sharp bending; pressure gauge and overload protection valve are mounted on hydraulic station to prevent pipe burst caused by overpressure. Oil collecting tank is arranged below hydraulic components to avoid slippery ground from leaked hydraulic oil.
Workshop layout reserves safety passage around the equipment, no stacking of steel coils and sundries within the maintenance area. After installation, professional debugging and safety test are required; formal production can only start after operators finish safety training.
